Sigel G. Dyer was inducted into the Army on March 9, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Technical Sergeant and telephone technician with the Signal Corps and Company A of the 102nd Signal L Construction Battalion serving in Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno and Northern Apennines, Italy.
Mr. Dyer was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with 3 bronze battle stars and five overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on Oct. 9, 1945 at Camp Grant, Ill.
