LENT, Sherman

Sherman Lent was born on May 3rd 1917 to Max & Sarah Lent in Duluth, Minnesota. He attended Duluth Central High School.

Mr. Lent enlisted in the Naval Reserve on September 23rd 1942.

He was an Aviation Ordnanceman 1st Class (AOM1/c) and aerial gunner on PBY patrol aircraft. He was with HedRon of the Fleet Air Wing 14 and Patrol Squadron 91 during World War II in the Pacific Theater and the homefront.

He was separated from the service on October 15th 1945 at Minneapolis, Minnesota. After the war he returned home and married Alice Irene [Greseth] on July 30th 1949 and they started a family.

Mr. Lent died on February 16th 1995 in Duluth, Minnesota at the age of 77 years old.
