Seldon T. Johnson of Chisholm was inducted into the Army on May 28, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He was a Private First Class and medical technician with the 30th General Hospital of the 334th Engineer Regiment in Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Johnson was awarded the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on October 9, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
He also served in the Korean conflict and was killed in action on February 14,1951.
