Samuel I. Kozar was inducted into the Army in October of 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn. and became a Private.

He was transferred to inactive status, then enlisted in the Reserve Corps on May 29, 1943 to accept employment in the private industry.

He was discharged on January 10, 1945 at Headquarters, Ninth Servic Command.
