Russell H. Johnson of Eveleth was inducted into the Army on April 25, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Technician 5th Grade and medical technician with the 250th General Hospital in Rhineland and Central Europe.

Mr. Johnson was awarded the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on November 16, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
