Russell C. Carlson

Russell C. Carlson entered the Army October 18, 1943, Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fifth grade and truck driver with the 383rd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion in New Guinea and Southern Philippines (Liberation).

Good Conduct Medal
Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars
World War II Victory Medal
Three overseas service bars
Bronze Arrowhead
Philippine Liberation Medal with one bronze star.

Honorably discharged February 6, 1946, Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
