Russell R. Bruce
Mr. Bruce inducted into the Army on February 23, 1943.
He served as a Private First Class and riflemen at Naples-Foggia and Rome-Arno, Italy; Southern France; and Rhineland. He was wounded in action on February 17, 1944, in Italy.
He received the following: Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, and European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars.
Mr. Bruce was honorably discharged on October 19, 1945, at O'Reilly Army General Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.
