Rudolph L. Matich of Virginia was inducted into the Army on June 23, 1942.

He received the: Bronze Star, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, Philippine Liberation Medal with a bronze star, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.
He was discharged on Dec. 31, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
