Rudolph James Mehle

Rudolph James Mehle was inducted into the Army on March 8, 1945, serving in the continental United States and the Pacific Theater during World War II.
He was a Technician 5th Grade and an auto mechanic with the 746th Engineer Base Equipment Company. He served in Leyte, Philipines from August 1945 to October 1946.
He was discharged on December 9, 1946.
Mr. Mehle received the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was born September 30, 1926, in Chisholm, Minnesota, the son of Anton and Mary (Robnik) Mehle. He graduated from Chisholm High School in 1944.
Mr. Mehle died at age 81 in Chisholm on February 6, 2008.
