Rudolph Ekar

Rudolph Ekar was commissioned in Naval Reserve November 18, 1942. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minn.

He served as a Lieutenant and Navy Armed Guard on the merchant vessels SS Elizabeth Kellogg, SS Pierre Gibanlt, SS Jacob Perkins, SS Jonathan Elmer and at continental U.S. stations.

Mr. Ekar was awarded the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

He was relieved from active duty November 25, 1945, Commandant, Ninth Naval District.
