Mr. Bodin inducted into the Army on October 10, 1941, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Brittmount, Minnesota.
He served as a Technician Fourth Grade and radio operator with Headquarters Battery of the 2497th Field Artillery Battalion in Western Pacific, Central Pacific, and Ryukyus. He was wounded in action in the Central Pacific Theater on June 14, 1944.
He was awarded the following: Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal with bronze service star, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, and six overseas service bars.
Mr. Bodin was honorably discharged on June 28, 1945, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
