Mr. Molick shared the following: "Enlisted as a Naval aviation cadet in September 1942. Attended preflight training at Iowa City, Iowa. Primary flight training at Corpus Christi, Texas. Received my commission as a 3nd Lt. USMC upon completion of advanced training at Corpus Christi. Trained as a dive-bomber pilot, also as a night fighter pilot. Later became a night fighter instructor pilot."
He was honorably discharged on May 4, 1946, at Cherry Point, North Carolina.
