Roland C. Gray of Hibbing, MN was inducted into the Army on Aug. 26, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Private First Class and brakeman with the 714th Railway Operating Battalion in Alaska.

Mr. Gray was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medaland World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged Oct. 21, 1945 at Camp Claiborne, La.
