Rodney J. Vallie

Rodney J. Vallie was inducted into the Army on July 11, 1943, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Duluth, Minnesota.

Mr. Vallie served as a Technician Fifth Grade and welder with the 447th Ordnance Heavy Automotive Maintenance Company at Omaha Beach, Normandy (D-Day-plus-four), Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

He was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and two overseas service bars.

Mr. Vallie was honorably discharged on December 22, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
