Mr. Blight inducted into the Army May 10, 1944, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and rifleman with Company H of the 188th Parachute Infantry, 11th Airborne Division in Luzon, Philippines.

Awarded: Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal, and one overseas service bar.

Honorably discharged January 11, 1946, Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
