Robert Naslund served in World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was inducted into the United States Army on September 27, 1943.
Mr. Naslund was assigned to the 1629th Engineer Construction Battalion and served in both the Philippines and Japan. He was a Buck Sergeant and classified as an Expert Marksman.
Mr. Naslund was decorated with the: Good Conduct Medal, the American Theater Service Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the Philippine Liberation Medal with one Bronze Star.
He was discharged on February 28, 1946
Mr. Naslund was born in 1924 in Two Harbors, Minnesota, the son of John and Anna Naslund. He graduated from high school in 1942.
