HOOPER, Robert Milton
Robert Milton Hooper was born on April 14th 1919 to John Thomas & Jennie Marie [Teerela] Hooper in Chisholm, Minnesota.
Mr. Hooper enlisted in the Naval Reserve September 22nd 1942. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.
He served during WWII aboard several vessels. He was assigned to the crew of the USS LST 732 as a Pharmacist's Mate Third Class. (PhM3c). He then served aboard the USS Antaeus (AG67) as a Hospital Apprentice First Class. (HA1c). He also served aboard the USS Munaroo (AP20) as a Hospital Apprentice Second Class. (HA2c).
He was honorably discharged December 7th 1945, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
After the war he returned to his hometown and married Norma Ann [Mitchell]. Mr. Hooper died on August 8th 1951 at he age of 32. He was buried in Calvary Cemetery in Chisholm, Minnesota.
