Robert A. Lind of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army in February, 1942.
He was a Sergeant and a tank commander with Company C in the 763rd Tank Battalion in the Eastern Mandates, Southern Philippines (Liberation) and Ryukyu Islands.
Mr. Lind received the: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars and bronze arrowhead, Philippine Liberation Medal with two bronze stars and six overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on November 7, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
