Robert James "Bang" Gangnon

Robert James “Bang” Gangnon was born on March 31, 1924 in Superior, Wisconsin to Leslie and Lillian Gangnon.He graduated from Superior Central High School in 1924.

He enlisted in the Navy to proudly serve as a Motor Machinist Mate 2nd Class.

Mr. Gangnon served aboard the navy LST 275 for three years in World War II where he fought five invasion in the South Pacific.

He died on November 6, 2007
