Robert J. Burke

Robert J. Burke of Duluth, Minnesota served in the US Marine Corps.

As a member of the 5th Marine Division in 1945, he was a survivor of the battle on Iwo Jima.

After being wounded in both legs by mortar fire and returning to battle six days later, he was awarded the Purple Heart.
