RODERICK, Robert Gene
Robert Gene Roderick was born on June 30th 1925 to Mark Hugh & Anna Viola [Thake] Roderick in Mason City, Iowa. The family moved to Linden Grove, Minnesota, near Cook.
Mr. Roderick served in the U.S. Army during World War II, He attained the rank of Corporal (CPL)
CPL Roderick was stationed in Nashville, Tennesee before he served the 109th Evacuation Hospital with Patton’s Army.
He wore five battle stars on his service ribbon.
CPL Roderick was honorably discharged on January 12th 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
After the war, he returned to Minnesota and married Mildred Lenia [Mc Aninck] on June 6th 1948 and they started a family.
Mr. Roderick died on March 28th 2017 at 91 years of age in Pipestone, Minnesota. He is buried at St. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
