Robert G. Fogelberg enlisted in the Navy on April 7, 1942.

He served as an Aviation Machinist's Mate 3rd Class at the Naval Air Station in Samar, Philippines, and in the continental U.S. 

Mr. Fogelberg was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on Dec. 17, 1945 at Great Lakes, Ill.
