Robert Cameron McQuade was born on February 18th 1922 to WWI Robert Harvey & Catherine E [Otto] McQuade in Duluth, Minnesota.
Duluthian Robert McQuade entered the U.S. Navy before the United States entered WWII. He was assigned to the Navy destroyer USS Shaw (DD-373). He rose to the rank of Seaman 1st Class (S1c)
Seaman McQuade was killed aboard the the Shaw on December 7th 1941 at Pearl Harbor. He is buried at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was 19 years old.
He earned the following merits for his service:

- American Campaign Medal,
- Navy Presidential Unit Citation,
