Robert Allen Bakken

Mr. Bakken served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from January 1945 to August 1946, stationed overseas in Guam.

Mr. Bakken was born on October 21, 1923 in Stanley, N.D.

He was born to Theodore and Nora (Larson) Bakken

Mr. Bakken graduated from high school in 1942. He also graduated from Minot (N.D.) State Teachers College in 1950. He continued his education at Bemidji (MN) State University and the University of Minnesota, Duluth, where he received his master’s degree in 1974.

Mr. Bakken died on June 6, 2008 in Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead, MN.
