Richard R. Brockway

Mr. Brockway entered the Army on February 14, 1945, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Duluth, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and clerk with 770 Railway Battalion in Japan. Prepared for the invasion of Japan but ended up with the occupation instead.

He was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and Army of Occupation Medal (Japan).

Mr. Brockway was honorably discharged on August 23, 1946, at Fort Sheridan, Illinois.
