Richard A. Prince of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on Aug. 27, 1942.
He was a Private First Class and a truck driver with Headquarters and Service Engineer Battalion, serving in northern France, the Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Prince received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with five bronze battle stars, American Campaign Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.
He was discharged on Nov. 21, 1945.
