Richard F. Jewett entered the Naval Reserve V-5 progrem in January of 1942 and was discharged after one month.
He was inducted again in 1944. After attending athletic school in Bainbridge, Md. he served as a Specialist 2nd Class and athletic specialist for physical therapy in the continental U.S.
He was separated from the service on December 9, 1945.
