Richard F. Christopherson of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on Sept. 26, 1942.

He was twice wounded in action during 1945.

Combat Infantryman Badge,
Good Conduct Medal,
Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with three bronze battle stars,
Philippine Liberation Medal with one bronze star,
and six overseas service bars.
He was discharged on Nov. 28, 1945.
