Richard D. Foreman was inducted into the Army on Oct. 5, 1944 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Private First Class and a truck driver in the Infantry with Company K of the 259th Infantry Regt. in Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Foreman was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, Army of Occupation Service Medal (Germany), World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on Aug. 10, 1946 at Fort Sheridan, Ill.
