Reino Rudolph Lehto was born on April 8th 1919 to Eric Ericcsson & Hilma Amanda [Maki] Lehto in Embarrass, Minnesota.
He was inducted into the Army on April 8th 1941, at Ely, Minnesota. Home at entry: Embarrass, Minnesota.
He served with Battery B of the 494th Coast Artillery Battalion in Normandy, Northern France, and Rhineland. He rose to the rank of Corporal (CPL).

- European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 3 bronze battle stars,
