Reino A. Kallio of Angora, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on December 15, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Private First Class with Battery D of the 377th Parachute Field Artillery at Normandy in Northern France, in the Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.
Mr. Kallio received the: Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Citation with oak leaf cluster, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars and bronze arrowhead, American Campaign Medal, and four overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on December 7, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
