TCHIDA, Raymond Michael
Ray Michael Tchida was born on March 27th 1918 to Mike & Mary Tchida.
Mr. Tchida was inducted into the Army on April 16, 1941. He served in Kasserine Pass, Fondouk, Hill 609, North Africia and Salerno, Cassino, Anzio, Rome-Arno, Bologna, and Po River, Italy. Mr. Tchida rose to the rank of Sergeant (SGT).
Per his recollections, “I was among the first replacements in the 125th Field Artillery Battalion, National Guard, from Duluth.”
SGT Tchida was discharged on September 10th 1945. After the War he married Margaret C. and they started a family.
Mr. Tchida died December 2nd 2008 and is buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in Little Falls, Minnesota.
