Raymond J. Ferrian was inducted into the Army on Nov. 17, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Private First Class and cable splicer with the 549th Signal Headquarters Construction Company in Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno and North Apennines, Italy.
Mr. Ferrian was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and four overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on Oct. 23, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
