He received the following: Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with six bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and six overseas service bars.
Mr. Widstrom was honoralby discharged on October 11, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
