Raymond G. Widstrom

Raymond G. Widstrom was inducted into the Army on December 2, 1941, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Brookston, Minnesota.

Mr. Widstrom served as a Sergeant with Headquarters of the 305th Bomb Group (H) in Air Offensive Europe, Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He also served as a dental technician and clerk in the flight surgeon's office.

He received the following: Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with six bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and six overseas service bars.

Mr. Widstrom was honoralby discharged on October 11, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
