Mr. Kujala was awarded the: Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Japan) and two overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on July 29, 1946, at Fort Sheridan, Illinois.
