DALLMANN, Ray Donald

Ray Donald Dallmann was born on December 9th 1916 to Richard Emil & Edith Ariel [Guss] Dallmann in Biwabik, Minnesota. He graduated from Biwabik High School 

Mr. Dallmann was inducted into the U.S. Army on October 14th 1942.

He was a message center clerk with Company A, 839th Signal Service Battalion in England and with 3104th Signal Service Battalion in Central Europe. He rose to the of Technician 5th grade (TEC5).

TEC Dallman earned the following merits for his service:

  • Good Conduct Medal,
  • European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal, -and-
  • Four overseas service bars.

 

He was honorably discharged on November 9th 1945. After the war he returned home and married Dorothy "Dode" Olive [Truscott] on July 1st 1963 and they started a family.

Mr. Dallmann died on June 24th 2011 in Duluth, Minnesota at 94 years of age. He is buried at Park Hill Cemetery in Duluth.
