HOENE, Philip George

Phillip George Hoene was born on June 10th 1916 to Arthur Cornelius Sr. & Vera Katherine [Vollmar] Hoene in Duluth, Minnesota. He married Margaret [Boyle] in 1942.

Mr. Hoene entered the U.S. Navy and served as an officer in the South Pacific Theater during WWII.

His ship was torpedoed. He was rescued and taken to Australia.

He was later relieved from active duty. He returned home to his wife and they started a family.

Mr. Hoene died on on August 27th 2003 at 87 years of age. He is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Duluth.
