Philip W. Peterson of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army Air Corps on Oct. 9, 1942.

He was a Sergeant and an aircraft hydraulics mechanic with the 4144th Army Air Forces Base Unit in the European Theater.

Mr. Peterson received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal, American Campaign Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

He was discharged on Nov. 19, 1945.
