Peter F. Mancina of Eveleth, Minnesota entered the Army Air Corps in January, 1943.
He was commissioned as a Major and was an intelligence staff officer with Headquarters, 12th Bomber Command in Guam. He participated in the Eastern Mandates air offensive in Iwo Jima and the Ryukyus and the air offensive against Japan.
Mr. Mancina was awarded the: Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
He was discharged on June 17, 1946 at at Letterman Army General Hospital, San Francisco, Calif.
