Otto O. Kangas of Florenton, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on January 15, 1944 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served with Company A, 63rd Engineer Combat Battalion in Rome-Arno, Italy and the Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Kangas was awarded the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and one overseas service bar.
He was honorably discharged on November 20, 1945 at Camp Grant, Ill.
