Oscar W. Pylka of Embarrass, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on Aug. 6, 1942.

Mr. Pylka received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with two bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.
He was discharged on Oct. 7, 1945.
