Olaf W. Berquist

Mr. Berquist enlisted in the Army on January 23, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Eveleth, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fifth Grade and carpenter with the 444th Ordnance Heavy Automotive Maintenance Company in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one silver battle star (representing five bronze battle stars) and three overseas service bars.

Mr. Berquist was honorably discharged on October 13, 1945, at Camp U.S. Grant, Illinois.
