Olaf Edwin Lee served in World War II, in the Pacific Theater. He served in the South Pacific until 1946.

He was in the Merchant Marines (which served as an auxiliary to the U.S. Navy during wartime).

Mr. Lee was born August 9, 1922, to Christ and Mary (Elj) Lee. In 1942, he was sent to Merchant Marine School in New London, Connecticut.

Mr. Lee died at age 85 on March 27, 2008, in Two Harbors, Minnesota.
