TENNISON, Norman William
Norman William Tennison was born on May 10th 1908 to Louis & Mary [Karban] Tennison in Oconto, Wisconsin.
Norman married Genevieve Elizabeth [Nichols] in 1932. Norman and family moved to Duluth, Minnesota in 1941 before the outbreak of WWII.
Mr. Tennison was inducted into the U.S. Naval Reserve on February 8th 1944 during WWII. Home at entry: Duluth.
He served as an repair ship electrician aboard the USS Ulysses (ARB 9) in March 1945 and served at Pearl Harbor, Kwajalein, Enewetok, Saipan, and Okinawa. He rose to the rank of Electrician’s Mate First Class (EM1/c).
EM Tennison was honorably discharged on December 15th 1945, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Mr. Tennison died on March 10th 2000 at 91 years of age in Duluth. He is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Duluth.
