Norman R. Clock of Duluth, Minnesota entered the U.S. Merchant Marine on June 2, 1943.
He was commissioned as a lieutenant (junior grade) and served as a medical officer in the Continental United States and aboard Merchant Ships A. Mitchell Palmer and Woodbridge Victory in the Mediterranean.
The ships delivered tanks, troops and explosives on beachheads and for mine sweeping in the Mediterranean.
He was discharged on July 13, 1945.
