Norman L. Abrahamson
Mr. Abrahamson enlisted in the Army on October 15, 1940. Entered active service on February 10, 1941, Battery C, 125th Field Artillery Battalion. Home at entry: Saginaw, Minnesota.
Served as a heavy truck driver with the rank of Technician Fifth Grade in the Tunisian, Naples-Foggia and Rome-Arno campaigns.
He received the following: Purple Heart for shell fragment wounds received near Givignano, Italy, on September 16, 1944, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with three battle stars, American Defense Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on May 18, 1945, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
