Niilo J. Haapala

Niilo J. Haapala entered the Army Air Corps on February 20, 1943.

He was commissioned as a 1st Lieutenant and served as a chemical officer with the 146th Army Air Forces Base Unit in the continental United States.

Mr. Haapala was awarded the American Campaign Medal, American Defense Service Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on February 24, 1946 at Patterson Field, Ohio.
