Mr. Anderson served in the continental United States.

He was trained as airframe and engine mechanic at Chanute Field, Illinois and served in that capacity as Sergeant with the 146th Army Air Forces Base Unit.

He was honorably discharged on October 20, 1945, at Truax Field, Wisconsin.
