Myron A. Nelson of Duluth, Minnesota entered the Army Air Corps on August 30, 1943.
He was in the Air Cadet program as a Commissioned 1st Lieutenant and a pilot of multi-engine planes in the 2514 Army Air Forces Base Unit in the European Theater. He served in the European Air Offensive in Normandy and Northern France.
Mr. Nelson received the: Air Medal with 12 oak leaf clusters, and European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with three bronze battle stars.
He was discharged on July 27, 1945.
