Milan Kappa of Chisholm enlisted in the Regular Navy on December 12, 1945 at Minneapolis, Minn. 

He was a Fireman 2nd Class and served in the continental United States and aboard the aircraft carrier USS Saipan (CVL 48).

Mr. Kappa received the: American Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on January 17, 1947 at U.S. Naval Hospital, Pensacola, Fla.
